Bleu Nuit - Le Jardin Des Mémoires - New 2019 Cassette Tape - Post Punk / Jangle Pop / Dark Wave
Bleu Nuit decided to combine the sounds of their cracky guitars with a smooth punk attitude in order to find his signature sound, somewhere in between the darker tones of Joy Division and Malajubes poetics. Upfront hidden guitars, minimal voice and catchy rhythm create a thin and efficient wall of sound.
Le jardin des mémoires is a mysterious, efficient and ardent album, something you can easily realize when you take a look at the intriguing dark artwork on the cover of Bleu Nuits debut record.

Mostly written and composed by Yan Skene Greatly helped by Nicolas Gaudreault (guitars, synths) and Laurent Saint-Pierre (drums) all the elements of this musical mignardise have a very unique perfume, embalmed by the talent of Julien Mineau (Malajube) who left his mark on the arrangements and produced the album.
Angular and brittle Le même discours and Trou noir, mysterious on the instrumentals Le jardin des mémoires, Confusion, Le dernier mouvement, hypnotic and spontaneous La sauvagerie (written and sung by the prolific French dandy Julien Gasc), spiralling and dark Féminin masculin, fiery Le ruban magnétique (with the saxophones enveloping touch) or even a bit Joy Divisionesque Concentration, each songs come together gracefully into this homogenous and inventive album, a timeless work of art intervening tradition and modernity.
Recorded entirely with analog methods at the Bottle Garden in Montreal, Le jardin des mémoires will delight those who will give a first listen upon the release date of April 12, 2019.
