The legendary Sonny & Cher set the music world on fire in the sixties and beyond with their superstar brand of classic rock and pop music. Their music transcended all boundaries of popular music with their brand of folk-rock, Phil Spector Wall-of-Sound-like production, and two-and-a-half minute symphonies, sounds which they imparted to the ears of millions of people who wanted to hear rock-and-roll love songs.
Spearheaded both by the multi-talented singer/songwriter and producer Sonny Bono and the grace and voice of his trendsetting fashion model wife, Cher, their debut 45 recording of "I Got You Babe" would prove to become a huge catalyst for things to come for these popular hipsters. They would go on to sell multiple millions of records and albums and have their songs successfully covered by many rock and pop acts over the years like Mott The Hoople, UB40, Chrissie Hynde and Vanilla Fudge.
With a dazzling number of chart-topping singles, a bunch of hit albums, numerous television appearances, a number one television show, successful concert tours and feature movies, Sonny & Cher's ATCO recordings would take the duo to the top of all the popular music charts and would become some of the finest Top 40 hits of all time.
Even though the great Sonny Bono is no longer with us, the duo's massive radio airplay and an amazing string of hit records prove that Sonny & Cher to this day are still revered and loved by their continual growing legion of fans worldwide.
After delivering a plethora of hits in rapid succession for ATCO Records, the label honored this hugely popular husband-and-wife team with their incredible greatest hits album, simply titled 'The Best Of Sonny & Cher.'
Filled with a treasure trove of chart-topping singles and hit songs from their smash albums, this incredible 1967 effort from these pop/rock legends remains one of the finest greatest hits albums ever released.
All your favorites are here, as this 12-track masterpiece is loaded with hit after hit, with smash singles like "What Now My Love," "The Beat Goes On," "It's The Little Things," and the song that inspired many people during the turbulent '60s, their number one classic "I Got You Babe."
As one of the most enduring albums in their massive career catalog, The Best Of Sonny & Cher includes even more hit tracks like Sonny's protest rocker "Laugh At Me," the smash sounds of "Sing C'est La Vie," "Just You," and their powerful interpretation of the classic "Let It Be Me."
Friday Music is pleased to announce The Best Of Sonny & Cher. Mastered impeccably from the original ATCO Records tapes by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music Studios and at Capitol Mastering, this amazing classic truly shines in the audiophile vinyl domain.
Limited hot pink colored vinyl LP pressing of the original 1967 collection from the iconic pop duo.

Opaque Fruit Punch
For over 20 years, The Decemberists have been one of the most original, daring, and thrilling American rock bands. Their distinctive brand of hyperliterate folk-rock set them apart from the start, releasing nine full-length albums that are unbound by genre and highly ambitious. Now the beloved indie band is back with their first new album in six years, As It Ever Was, So It Will Be Again - not only the longest Decemberists album to date (and their first intentional, proper double-LP) but also their most empathetic and accessible, its 13 songs like semaphores of mutual recognition for our fraught times and faint hope. The first dozen songs are punchy, pithy gems all, reflections on mortality and loneliness, longing and cynicism, expectation and unease. The band animates them brilliantly, pushing out and pulling in at the perfect moments. John Moen practically dances beneath the jangle of opener “Burial Ground,” breathing the life into this song about spiraling toward the end. From the irrepressible “Oh No!" and guileless tenderness and absolute surrender of “All I Want Is You,” to the romantic ghost story that shimmers behind pedal steel in spite of the specter in "Long White Veil," these 12 songs alone would constitute a dazzling Decemberists album, rich with woe and love, anxiety and honesty. But a keening little choir and arid electric guitar invoke “Joan in the Garden,” the band’s first full-on prog escapade since The Crane Wife. Though rooted in doubt, much like the album it ends, “Joan in the Garden” ultimately lands as a celebration of music’s ability to convey valence and ambiguity, to frame an endlessly complicated story in instantly compelling terms.
This, songwriter Colin Meloy will tell you proudly, is the best Decemberists albums and perhaps the ultimate realization of 22 years of work. In many ways, As It Ever Was, So It Will Be Again feels like an aptly titled renewal for The Decemberists. The first full-length release on YABB Records, the band’s own label, after a run of nearly two decades with Capitol. As they were once, here are the Decemberists again, now an independent band empowered by singing stories that sound instantly familiar and convey some bit of hard-won wisdom.

The Means of Production is a meeting point of six musicians with musical backgrounds as divergent as you’ll find in any modern outfit. With individual resumes as players in jazz, hip-hop, cabaret, psych rock, funk and soul with artists like Evolfo, Sinkane, Lizzie No, Ralph Weeks, Madlib and Brian Jackson, this collective musical knowledge adds to the stew in one way or another when they get on their respective instruments and play. The unit originally formed as the backing band for vocalist Ben Pirani in 2016. The Means (for short) – which features Jay Mumford on drums, Matt Gibbs on guitar, Rafferty Swink on keys, Pat Carr on bass, and Tre D’Ambrocia on vibraphone - formed a tight musical bond through years of touring, rehearsing and doing 1960s “no edits” style recording sessions for Pirani’s Colemine Records output. Most recently, the band focused solely on session work, leading to more experimentation. While warming up to record as a studio band for artists like Ralph Weeks and Lizzie No, The Means would improvise and explore to loosen up. Those fleeting and urgent live instrumental takes became the album that sits before you. Inspired by Teo Macero’s use of tape editing on early ‘70s Miles Davis records, Rafferty was entrusted with the job of arranging these group improvised compositions. The result is a potent, genre-defying blend of electric jazz, psych, and soul. A sextet with musical pedigrees as wide ranging as The Means’ playing as one has no choice but to sound like nothing else. The raw and adventurous sound of NOW.

Southern California's heavy fuzz rock legends Fu Manchu's tenth studio album "Signs of Infinite Power" reissued on vinyl on April 19th via Svart Records Recorded at Maple Studios in Santa Ana, California by the band and producer Sergio Chavez (Motörhead, Helmet) and mixed by Andrew Alekel (Foo Fighters, Danzig), "Signs of Infinite Power" could well be dubbed "a reawakening" of Fu Manchu as the record delivers monstrous doses of the group's punk energy, hard rock drive and psychedelic crunch in spades. From the instant the album's lead track "Bionic Astronautics" soars from the speakers, it is undeniably evident that Fu Manchu is as primed and hungry as ever before.

The Meat Puppets at their psychedelic peak. A tightly crafted labor of love, Mirage was released in Spring of 1987 to increasing interest from mainstream rock circles. Joe Sasfy (Washington Post) proclaimed it "their finest, as close to a polished artistic arrival as you'd want from a frisky anti-pop band committed to musical spontaneity and adventure."
Mirage is some sideways brand of cactus-country rock: acoustic shuffles propelled by Curt Kirkwood's prickly Crazy Horse rustic-rust guitar and Cris Kirkwood's jagged Beefheart-hyperfunk bass, with the siblings staking their breathtaking claim to post-Louvin Brothers mountain-harmony.

40th Anniversary Limited Edition on translucent red vinyl with booklet and lithograph
This 40th anniversary limited edition of Bruce Springsteen's smash hit record, Born in the U.S.A. has been pressed on translucent red vinyl and features a faithfully reimagined gatefold sleeve that includes a new 12-page booklet with a new essay from Erik Flannigan, and a 4-color lithograph.
Born In The U.S.A., the seventh studio album by Bruce Springsteen, was released on June 4, 1984. A global critical and commercial success, it found Springsteen marking a departure in his sound. While its predecessor, the dark and acoustic Nebraska, featured songs of pessimism and isolation, Born in the U.S.A.'s lyrics expressed signs of hope in the daily fight of the ordinary American in following the American Dream, a new feeling complemented by synthesized arrangements and a pop-flavored, radio-oriented sound that helped Springsteen to extend his popularity and appeal to mainstream audiences.
Born in the U.S.A. was the best-selling album of 1985 in the Austria (and Springsteen's most successful album ever), selling 15 million copies in the U.S alone, and 30 million worldwide.

Denovali presents Spark and Earth, the ninth full length album from acclaimed NYC-based composer and performer Mario Diaz de Leon. Long celebrated for his electroacoustic chamber music, Spark and Earth is the first of Diaz de Leon’s solo albums to foreground his performance as a metal guitarist, alongside a vividly textured electronic ensemble of terse synth stabs, woodwind and vocal timbres, floor rattling synth bass, and propulsive kick drums.
Since 2009, Diaz de Leon has released four recordings of his collaborations with chamber ensembles (International Contemporary Ensemble, Talea, TAK), while from 2012-2016 he produced three solo electronic albums under the project name Oneirogen. With the two-song album Heart Thread (2022), he began releasing electronic works under his own name. His music has been celebrated over the last decade for its “hallucinatory intensity” (New York Times), “snarling exuberance” (Pitchfork), and “remarkable textures and vivid atmosphere” (New Yorker Magazine). As collaborator, he is guitarist and vocalist in the extreme metal duo Luminous Vault (Profound Lore Records), and performs synth and drum machine in Bloodmist, an electroacoustic improvisation trio with Jeremiah Cymerman and Toby Driver. In 2023, he collaborated with Eartheater and members of Krallice in a performance of songs from her album Trinity. Since 2019, he has taught at Stevens Institute of Technology as Assistant Professor of Music and Technology.
